I'm talking about the one, the only Lenny Kravitz. Most people know Lenny Kravitz through sound. At first, the towering guitar riffs, the analog warmth. The swagger, the soul.

It belonged to his father Sy Kravitz. An NBC News photojournalist. the camera was a heavy mechanical, Leicaflex all metal and precision and mastery.

Lenny didn't yet know how to use it. And eventually those same instincts expanded beyond photography and music.

Altogether through Kravitz design, he moved into interiors, furniture, lighting, and architecture. But even there. The philosophy stayed the same. Warmth, texture, soul atmosphere. That's the thread running through everything he creates, not perfection, atmosphere. Even the special edition, Leica camera he later designed with Leica was [00:06:00] built around that philosophy meant to age over time, scratch naturally, and carry the marks of experience.

For Lenny Kravitz beauty was never supposed to remain untouched.
